KJ16V
Hi, all. I'm currently rebuilding my DE engine for a turbo conversion. Plus I'm also modifying the cooling system, including deleting some of the superfluous coolant hoses. Can someone tell me: is it me, or is hose #1 completely useless?? It goes out of the hard pipe, and back into the same pipe slightly further up. It's called a bypass pipe, but it bypass nothing! Also, I'd like to delete hose #2 if possible. Will that negatively affect the cooling system or cabin heater system in any way?
KJ16V
Nobody? Surely I can't be the only person in 20 years who's noticed that redundant hose!

Coz@TORQEN
This guy explains what pipes he's deleted on his DE and why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-VouFYfy54 I know a lot of people run the bypass modification kit too: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/cooling/accessories/81-350z-de-rear-coolant-bypass-modification-kit.html Can't really advise how useless that pipe is or not, Nissan would have put it there for a reason but I'm not a race tech to be able to confirm whether or not it's completely useless. KJ16V
Cheers. I've seen this video. It's more relevant to strict track cars, because he deletes all the heating pipes also. But thanks nonetheless. I plan to do the "HR mod" with, HR h.gaskets. I might also add this coolant bypass mod too. 👍🏾
