Hawk vs DBA

Morning guys!

This has probably been done to death so I apologise now! Need to learn search function better!!

Need to replace my discs and pads and getting close to pulling the trigger on a bundle, I can't decide between the Hawk HPS pads or DBA street pads for the bundle though.

Car doesn't see the track but sees fast road use, tried googling for reviews on either but google seems to be ignoring the word 'pad' and just showing me reviews on dba discs!!

Thanks all,

Nick :)

Hi Nick,

Hawk Ceramic pads would be my choice, minimal dust and crazy good bite from cold.

Hawks all day long. Had them on my Zed

for years, fast road car, no track days. No fade, no shitty dust  and they work!! Wouldn’t have anything else.

Thanks for the input guys much appreciated.

Abbey fitted a set of Hawks to my Z last year. They bite well in daily use and also work on the Nurburgring, which is handy!

It's never really occured to me, but having read comments about minimal dust, that's actually correct.

Just as a quick update to this - ended up with a completely different set 🤣.

DBA T3 4000 slotted discs front + back

DBA xtreme pads front +back

Supplied by the guys Torqen.

Did an aggresive bed in saturday night and they are night and day difference over the stock setup I had. Bite well from cold, haven't pushed them hard fully yet as also swapped roll bars so getting a feel for everything!

+1 recommend though and thanks for all the input!
