Hi all. Looking new battery and several posts regarding size etc. The one I have is about 232 ish mm in length and the one I've seen is 278mm which has more Cranking Amps. The tray it sits on looks about 290mm.

Will the higher CCA have any effect on the circuit load and does anyone know battery and tray size off hand. Don't want to strip it down yet until after service on fri. Thanks.

It is hard to get the perfect size as the clamp on the JDM cars is really small and the top of a lot of batteries wont fit, If you do go to halfords bring the clamp with you so you can test it. I just bought a UK clamp as that let me use a more nomal battery.

As has been said best to fit a UK battery and change the terminals and the clamping bracket and rods.

Terminals, bracket and rods are all in stock and good to go same/next day.

just drop me a pm if I can help you further.

2k4 JDM owner here, just replaced.
If you remove the tabs on the battery tray and trim the top of the battery clamp bar then you can fit some biggies! 630 cca plus 70AH

also take the time to derust and clean the battery scuttle and the drain beneath the ECU!
