Also Microsoft can update the OS so that it will check that the program is valid and upload over the controller, therefore you will be paying cash for nothing. I cant play xbox live, but I have used xbconnect. which is software that uses your pc to connect your xbox to others. The very good thing about xbconnect, is that it lets you run some non "live" enabled games that you would otherwise only be able to play using system link.
