McG
My 2018 Nismo has just over 20K miles on it. I’ve noticed that the discs on the drivers side are scored and this scoring can be felt when running a finger over the brakes when cold. In comparison the passenger side discs have little to no scoring. I can hear a slight rubbing noise under braking but only when I have the radio turned off. Am I looking at new discs and pads or just new pads? Given I have a Nismo, I’m assuming it would be Akebeno fit I’d be looking for?
Loadmaster
Assuming that both discs and the pad set have been installed for the same length of time, possibly some contamination has happed by way of some form of grit, therefore scoring the disc. McG
Thanks. would your recommend taking the pads off to check for contamination, or just spraying some brake cleaner in?
Andy_Muxlow
I would remove the pads and check for the contaminant. You might get rid of it when you take the pads out. You can give it a proper inspection then. It might be something stuck on the pads?
