New RAYS lug nuts look very at home now. Thanks very much! Yeah I've definitely learned that matte finishes hide allot of sins. I will def be using wrap again for other things. I figured it would be more durable than paint. Especially since it looks like my interior has been painted before.
Dipper
Another small tweak. The wheels obviously have been painted black and the crusty Nissan centre caps have been bugging me. Have never been able to find aftermarket ones that work. So I drilled out the plastic rivets that hold on the nissan pieces and stuck on some Rays stickers. Looks cleaner in my opinion.
Dipper
Been a while. But here is another small interior update. Over the weekend i fitted some of the new opentop.fr footwell lights. I went with orange to match the Interior dial colour. A little bit if figuring out was required as I've the earlier interior model.(much easier on the newer versions) I had to take the centre console off briefly. But results came out great.
Dipper
Continuing the interior lighting upgrades. Some led map light bulbs to replace the old ones. For anyone looking the spec of the bulbs they are 31mm festoon bulbs. (Led) Edited October 26, 2023 by Dipper More details
Dipper
Similarly the sun visor bulbs also got led bulbs. And the boot light too.

Dipper
Another well overdue mod. Was getting some spacers on. Found some 2nd hand 20mm ones from ebay. (Hubcentric) of course. Only got ones for the fronts so far. But make such a difference to the fitment.

( i had an image of these wheels saved on my phone) I have a similar Plans. Smooth them. Then gloss black. I'm hoping to try and keep the "Rays" and "Forged" embossed text and highlight that writing in like a silver. So it pops compared to the gloss black.
Dipper
Another little upgrade today. The car when I bought it had an aftermarket amazon gearknob black wit red stitching. And although it didn't look too bad. I am always looking for better. I loved the look of the South Bend gear knobs. But they are discontinued. I managed to contact Torqen who managed to find a anodized black one for the 370z still on a dusty shelf in the USA. And I have ordered it. However. While waiting for that one. I found someone on marketplace selling the machined 350z version. I love it as the stem is the right size and works well. So i bought it and its now fitted. Not sure what to do with the black one in the post. Maybe it keep it as a spare?
Stutopia
Run one in winter and one in summer? Both pretty cool.
Dipper
A nice little upgrade today to the Red Zed. I fitted the 380rs throttle pedal. I managed to pick one up on ebay. Cheap enough. It wasn't quite as easy as some of the ebay videos for fitting would suggest. My 2004 model looks to have the clip integrated into the throttle stop plastic body, and was tricky to get off. Not like the small clip on some later models I'd assume. Any on now. A nice little upgrade.
Dipper
Had a bit of a disaster Tuesday night. While trying to navigate a tight car park. The car cut out. And refused to restart. Wouldn't even turn over. The battery gauge dial showed not enough juice. So while blocking the car park I asked one of the people blocked by myself for a jump. However my hopes of a quick fix were dashed when the car still wouldn't turn on. Even on jump leads! ( it was a 2 litre diesel vw van) so surprised me. As I've jumped the 350z before with no issue with my simular engined golf. So at this stage a crowd had gathered. I asked them just yo push me out. To get out of their way. While they were pushing I risked a bump start. 2nd gear. Ignition on, simultaneously let out the clutch fast. And boom! She started! So I parked on a hill after that. My diagnosis is a completely banjaxxed battery. So new battery fitted today. Started fine a few times with it. Time will tell if the issue is solved. ( I love the 350z have a volt gauge) not a wasted dial at all!
Cosmic73
Glad that all ended well. Funny how it wouldn't jump start tho. Maybe the vw van was newish and had smart charging system so played funny buggers when connected to something else.
Dipper
Maybe something like that. My golf is a bit older. Anyway. Cheapest part to change is battery. So can't hurt things. Was more the holy mortifying shame blocking everyone! Lol Edited April 28 by Dipper
Dipper
Chargespeed rear bumper So I spent way too much money. Got myself a replica Chargespeed rear bumper from Chris at Tarmac. It was actually reasonably priced. But...had to ship it here to Northern Ireland, also It's a bare shell, So needs allot of the brackets to attach fittings. The cutouts for the number plate lights needs added. It needs some fabrication to allow the indicators to mount also. Plus prep and paint. So i bit the bullet and sent it to Perfected Paintwork Ni who did the awsome work on my rusty sills 2 years ago. It's with them now. And in for paint now. Excited to see the results next week. I've never seen a Chargespeed rear bumper in red before. Edited June 15 by Dipper

Dipper
Big shout out to Perfected Paintwork Ni for doing all the fabrication, prep and paint work on the new bumper. Always take loads of pictures of progress for me and do a great job with the details and fitment too.(Especially with a fibre glass bumper in this instance) I'm getting excited to see the car fully assembled. But for now here's a few pics of the work in progress. Edited June 19 by Dipper
Dipper
Got the car back from Perfected Paintwork Ni. Aftet having the chargespeed rear bumper fitted. What a fantastic! They did amazing work! Highly recommended as these fibreglass bumpers aren't easy to for and make work with the body lines etc. For me this is the best rear bumper that's available for a 350z. Dipper
So the car failed mot for the first time in my ownership. The kidney brackets and the "splash guard" piece that runs between them. A previous owner had already changed the w brace to the ultra racing one. But the kidney brackets weren't in great shape and I had been waiting for thos to eventually happen. When I had a look the bolts were really rusty and il be honest I was nervous. Especially as I could see that one bolt had already been broken by previous owner...
