polaris
Hi, I've just noticed some condensation inside the P/S headlight. I did give the car a quick clean yesterday with a pressure washer but by no means was I holding it an inch away from the headlight seals. Reading some other posts said cracking them open wasn't the best idea? Should I get a professional in to do it? Best to do both at the same time? I'm decent at car DIY. I reckon I could sort if given some trusted advice. Thanks! Edited January 29, 2023 by polaris
ZMANALEX
Before you crack them open, check that the large O ring is in place on the rear of the headlight as well as the arch liner.
Olly350z
With Alex on this, take headlight out and remove the rear main cover and dry the headlight out in an airing cupboard. Get a new cover with O ring while you're at it and check the drainage tube isn't blocked while you're at it, jobs a goodun 1

Both front arch protectors are brand new as I replaced them roughly 6 months ago. Will check the O-ring 👍 Edited January 29, 2023 by polaris

Looking on amayama, I can see two different part numbers for the cover with O-ring. Link here. Also, do you think it's worth replacing the O-ring underneath the headlight? You'll see what I mean on the link
Olly350z
Personally, I'd be replacing the rear cover, number 26800N and then the seal around the lower ballest cover, number 26033M. These would be the cheapest fixes. Specifically 26800N is the main offender for letting moisture into the headlight
ZMANALEX
Agree with what Olly has said. ^^^ Remember that the parts for the Facelift Bi Xenons are different from the Prefacelift Xenons.
polaris
Thanks lads, appreciate it! Last question, for 26800N there are two available options, 26029-AQ000 and 26029-CF40A. Either of you wouldn't happen to know what one I'd need for my Rev Up manufactured in 2006? Saying that, maybe I should see if there's a part number for the cover on my car right now. I can cross verify it Edited February 1, 2023 by polaris
Olly350z
I don't unfortunately, that's where my knowledge ends. All I can tell you with certainty is that if you have a 2006 revup, and from the photo you posted you definitely have facelift headlights

I ordered the correct parts then. Near 2 month wait on the covers though, hopefully it arrives sooner.
polaris
Received and fitted parts. Confirmed no condensation in the P/S headlight. Just checked today and I can see some moisture building up again Next steps?
Olly350z
Have you checked the small drainage tub on the headlight normally located on the bottom? Will be a small rubber tube about an inch long with a 90 degree bend, designed to let the headlight breath. I wonder if that's blocked
