mr v6
Is there anyone in the northwest, mainly Manchester, struggling to get this? Been 2 weeks now & both stations I use have the pump handles of V power bagged up. I've asked in store & they have no idea..
Stutopia
This is defo a thing in Sheffield, there’s 5 shells within a few miles of me and the last few times I’ve been to fill up I’ve had to visit 2 or 3 to get V Power. Super annoying and the best response I’ve had yet is that, “it runs out around the weekend before the next delivery”.
HEADPHONES
Found the same a few times at 3 different Shell garages since 12 December! Coincidence Thankfully Tesco has had Momentum on those occasions.
The Bounty Bar Kid
Filled up 3 full tanks in December, so maybe a local issue. I'm down South.
Tomato
Same issue in West Yorkshire. Talking to the Shell man at the local garage all the petrol currently coming from one place, causing queues for tanker lorries and normal fuel being priortied to keep the country running. If true or not I dont know, but pretty stupid if true to only have one source 🤣
rodgeevans
I have seen people moan about a lack of diesel down this way (essex) but can't see I have experienced it when filling up the "tractor"
G1en
My local 2 shells have not had vpower last few weeks. I did a quick google and found that shell are changing the formulation during december and launching a new vpower that is supposed to be better for modern turbo and hybrid engines. Maybe some docks/refineries have run out of the “old” stuff and waiting for shipments of the “new” formula?
Olly350z
Down south this has now become a thing. Luckily the local shell had a delivery last weekend which I managed to brim the tank on but it had run out the following day
pintopete58
Could the shortage be because more people are avoiding E10 I put E5 in my fiesta sport now

Olly350z
Ignoring the Vpower shortage, I do think alot of people are becoming more aware of just how poor E10 is
pintopete58
E5 might be more expensive but if E10 wreaks your engine it works out cheaper
Luigi350z
same here, no V power between MK, Northampton and Luton 😔
The Bounty Bar Kid
Well I hope I can get some v power next weekend when I have to fill up again. Or maybe I just do a partial fill up tomorrow 😬 It's bad enough that it's got warmer recently that my winter tyres don't perform as well as they should do if it was sub 7°c. Having to drive more carefully than usual. Edited December 31, 2022 by The Bounty Bar Kid
The Bounty Bar Kid
Just called up one my local filling stations and they still have v power available 🥳

mr v6
Cheers everyone, seems we're not alone up here in the northwest.. I wasn't aware Tesco Momentum was 99 ron, so I just brimmed the tank with that stuff. It does seem to be a regional thing though.

In that case, Esso also sells 99 ron
