Replaced the VX220 with a...Z

Yeah I have seen you can have a back box delete or a resonator delete. The noise at the moment is fine for me, I would like a bit more but not excessive - the R33 and Celica were both noisy buggers!

Just eyeing up doing all four corners on the tyres, they are run flats at the moment, which is annoying. The back need doing anyway so thats fine, but front have loads left.

EDIT: Just seen a deal on MPS4 on blackcirlces ...

First big purchase...tyres! Blackcircles have 15% off Michelins right now so....

@Ekona will be proud, four MPS4 ' s ordered to replace the runflats I have on the car at the moment. Rebooting the car on Weds morning.

Also went to my first Z4 meet...well, my mate a couple of miles down the road also bought a Z4 at the weekend so we had ourselves a little mini meet 🤣

Completely. Run flats had me going all over the road and no confidence, these I am literally point and shoot.

Mind you they don't look that nice...

I don't know why anyone would ever put ugly tires on a car. Form over function, always!

(I know, it was intentional!)

Todays job involved fitting a bluetooth dongle to the standard headunit. I really want to retain the original head unit it looks so perfect with the rest of the dash, and standard aftermarket just do not look right. Anyway the job is you need to remove the vents above the headunit to access the screws holding it in, 2 minute job apparently as its just two clips which you pull down by poking a little flat head through...any way an hour later along with a lot of swearing I realised why mine was more challenging than most...

Cannot describe how bloody annoying this was! Obviously its been out before...anyway did a gorilla glue fix on it with a random bit of plastic to avoid the pain again.

£20 ebay dongle plugged in and boom we have a working bluetooth head unit. Happy days.

As usual I couldn’t resist getting the kit out and giving the new motor a gentle going over…

Gyeon Bathe+

Scholl G20 machine polish

Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax

There are definitely details that need to be attended to but a good starter for ten.

Stunning reflections in the bonnet thereB).

I'll second the opinion that those rims are some of the best OEM BMW offerings.

I'd say the Z4 design is one of those few designs like the Audi TT that already looks perfectly finished where big spoilers and bodykits would actually detract from the elegance of the car.

Definitely a car that would make me look back over my shoulder time and time again to admire it after parking up

I never gave the Z4 any time of day if I am honest until I started looking at the coupes, which look stunning they just got the side profile so right and the rear quarter angle is beautiful. I wont be adding any body modifications at all. I also didnt appreciate just how good the N52 engine is, its easy to look past it at the M car and 265bhp doesnt set the world alight nowadays but its got that rare characteristic of having oodles of torque low down and being very free revving it doesn't feel lazy at all.

From the weekend, the first of many fill ups I suspect 🤣

Lots of little things going on. I had a few scratches on the front bumper painted by a mobile paint firm, did an 8/10 job did reasonably well given the high winds we had going on.

Dig out some old fly eye stuff and tried it in the side indicator lights to make them more subtle i actually like it!

Also bought some stickers that cover the blue triangles with black for the badges - goes well with the whole dark scheme
