RDON
Hi Folks noticed the volt meter is not going up to its usual 14v and has dropped to 13v and been having a few flat batteries so I think the alternator is on its way out. does anyone know where I could get a fairly newish used one from at all? would prefer to go OEM rather than aftermarket. TIA Edited January 10, 2022 by RDON
Willsy1980
You could try Hills Salvage, they don't have one listed but they do have some ancillaries so maybe worth giving them a ring. https://parts.hills-motors.co.uk/parts/95/NISSAN/1264/370Z/

TIA How is the voltmeter actually supposed to behave? On start from cold mine goes around to 13/14v ish, then drops slightly after 5 or 10 minutes. I'm not aware of any problems and don't have any battery issues that I'm aware of.

And I forgot to add, the car was with Abbey for a few days for tuning and dyno runs a couple of months ago. They'd have noticed if something was amiss I'm sure. If still in doubt or concerened, you could always get a check on the battery/charging system carried out. Coz@TORQEN
We have new ones listed, they'd need ordering in but we can definitely supply one for you if you decide to go brand new. Few different options listed here: https://www.torqen.uk/search?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=370z+alternator+&submit_search= There's a few aftermarket ones there too, might be worth considering depending on budget. There's also this one listed on eBay (not related to us) if brand new is a little out of budget, looks like it came from a 370z with 29k miles: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184130293281?epid=1816246174&hash=item2adf054e21:g:X3QAAOSwOX1eIE9w#viTabs_0

Bunning
@RDON Not sure if you've sorted this yet but i'd be inclined to get your battery health checked first it's more likely to be that not charging/holding charge properly
