Reece9426
Hey everyone! First post on here to be kind Anyone had this problem? Seems like a knocking/rattle on the gear shifter after 4k rpm and onwards happens in all gears at the same rpm, goes away if I clutch in or hold the stick. 2014 nismo 370z. Sent a link to the youtube video below of the noise. Thanks!
davey_83
Is the gear knob tight on the spline?
Willsy1980
Does it make the noise if you are holding the shifter knob ? Could be the trim rattling in the clips or the wire clip under it for the reverse sensor thing

It did get quieter when I held onto the gear knob. See if it returns but for now it's fine.
xrb
Hi, did you get the noise back? Im having the same issue on a 2016 370z, Ive torn everything down, discarted the knob, lever and all shifter mechanism, My conclusion is that its the linkage. This is my car: https://youtube.com/shorts/EiMaXkv_rZ4?feature=share And this is another video I have found were its mentioned, he changed the whole shifter mechanism so its not there, at min 12.37: https://youtu.be/TPg5nuOiH_c?si=8JG7HfcNmlJb13ql&t=
Dave G
I can't help here I'm afraid but I have exactly the same issue. My car has done it since I bought it (at 3 years old). I've no idea what causes it either...
