Noble Bernard
Hi Guys, I have a 2009 370z GT, I noticed today that the clutch pedal was starting to feel noticeably 'heavier' and was sticking and taking longer than normal to return to it's position after I released the pressure. The car has just had a full service a few weeks ago, it is still driveable at the moment but obviously it may get worse and I don't want to risk causing further damage to the car by continuing to drive it in its current state. Having done a bit of digging on the forum I have found that the issue might be the Clutch Slave Cylinder. Having spoken to Nissan, they have stated that their charge to 'diagnose' the problem is about £100. Then if it is the CSC, the part is about £150 and labour would be about 3 hours work at £100 per hour . So all in about £600. Does this sound reasonable and would there be any alternatives? I am based between Birmingham and Cheshire. Thanks for reading
ZMANALEX
Yes, the alternative would be to upgrade the CSC as the OEM CSCs are known to fail suddenly and prematurely. Depending on mileage it may be wise to upgrade the clutch and fly when the box is dropped.
