Karlp
As above guys, as Im back in the 370 Market Ive stumbled across this white stunner https://www.wraithauto.co.uk/inventory/nissan-370z-gt-2009 Obvious "engine issues" screams danger! So I pick up the phone and call the dealer, very pleasant chap gave me a lot of info on the car and it seems to be the engine is cut out/grumbling at low speeds (under 20/25mph) at high speeds/high revs car drives fine. His sent me a few videos of the car/engine at start up and idle and it starts fine no noises jumping out/knocking etc. So I start thinking could this just be a simple MAF sensor issue? He had a classic car engine rebuilder look at it who said it could be the shaft sensor but that could open up a can of worms...... Googling this issue it seems a standard issue with the 350z/370z - I remember this issue with my 350 and cleaning the throttle body etc to improve idling and performance. So the $64000 question........whats everyones thoughts
ZMANALEX
Buyer beware. If it was a cheap fix, don't you think that the dealer would have fixed it? If you feel lucky, make the dealer an offer.
Willsy1980
Wouldn't be one for me, engine bay has been cleaned for the photo's (sort of), uneven pad/disc wear, MOT check shows going through rear tyres every 6k miles and front coil spring snapped. Been a bit battered and not really looked after to be honest. I'll save you money. Send me 4k and i'll mail you some scrap Edited March 2, 2021 by Willsy1980
Mikey_S
Crazy price but yeah, its certainly raises alarm bells. Where are you based? Any Nissan Z specialists around? Offer them a sweetener to come and see it with you Edited March 2, 2021 by Mikey_S silly assumptions

Willsy1980
Any reason your looking for a fixer upper, as opposed to getting something not broken ?
GranTurismoEra
you can get a 370 for 9-11k legit....lol or a 350z for less. That looks like a risk. May have been an Essex drift car in the past lol co part one is overpriced when you add in parts a labour Edited March 4, 2021 by GranTurismoEra
ZMANALEX
All parts are in stock if you decide to bid/buy.

Karlp
Thanks for all the responses guys - Im looking for a fixer upper 370z or an audi S4, as I'll probably get the car do it up, keep it for about 2-3 months then sell it for usually the same price I paid for it with all parts etc. Dont mind bodywork damage etc , will be staying away from mechanical - dont mind swapping out broken parts rads etc Will keep my eye out. PS - That 370z sold for £5950 on Copart - just needed a new front end and spraying up.

Reading the add, looks well worth a viewing. Run on good oil, filter choice is a little dubious. But other than that seems like they have spent on the car whenever its needed it. Good brake components used. As Sim said, have a good look at it, CAT C so check the repair standards. Considering its up for 350 money, nothing lost by looking at it

I was 50/50 on the bonnet, didn't know it was CF. Thought he had just put clearcoat over the primer they come in
