stanski
https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-britishcars/behold-the-all-new-mk2-escort/43570 I do find it amusing these cottage industries have popped up like weeds everywhere continuing or recreating older models of popular cars. The one thing they all have in common are the eye watering costs, its like expensive live sized toys for the well off. 65K+vat plus options! Compared to originals I expect its a bargain price especially as its new and no rust or old metal fatigue, what will prices of originals do drop now ? It is actually driven also which is nice to see. Sounds great I expect it will scare small children and animals.

It became a liability, financial i should have kept it as for missing the car i don't really, but there will always be a place in my heart for these escorts, i owned several mk2 rs 2000s prior to this, but i know they are fetching silly money now, you are looking at 50k for a mk1 mex in mint condition

I ended up selling the zed for the same reason amongst being a dad , 3 people don't fit in a 2 seater. I loved it but was looking at new tyres, insurance and service and tax all at the same time!!! I used to have a MK1 VW T1 split screen camper that go for daft money now. When cars get to those levels of value it spoils the ownership experience in my view. Well you had them and enjoyed them which is the main thing.
