pwes
Hi guys, my 370z has been sitting for just over a year while out of the country. Friends started it last July Just jump started it and it fired up after a moment or three, but with an instant smell of plastic/ rubber and a fair amount of smoke from the left side of engine as you look from the front. Main belt can be seen going round, but I suspect maybe something like water pump wheel may be siezed, therefore creating smoke, does this sound right or any suggestions? No idea if temp will be correct as I turned it off before it got to temp, litterally within 20 of starting, before we get a fire Suggestions and things you would check please! Thanks
andy james
Sounds like something to do with the auxiliary belt as it goes around a lot of pulleys. Have a good down the front of the engine for anything obvious.
