 need help sourcing the correct ball joint for the control arm on my Z, garage is useless!!

The ones i keep getting sent are about 3mm too narrow on the thread diameter, i need a 20mm i think

Might be a plan to measure the thread diameter with a vernier as there is not a 20mm size.

 

Also you get different size of seating cones as well.

 

Are you replacing the  lower arm as well?

It is the front left lower control arm, on the 05 coupe version being replaced, i need to get back to the garage to get the measurement

If the new control arm does not fit the original OEM ball joint, then you have the wrong arm I am afraid.

Do you stock the arms as well as the ball joints? I have bought 2 arms now, just every ball joint i get is the wrong size, its a nightmare!

Yes, arms also in stock, however there are more than 1 type/size of arm and seating cone and ball joint I am afraid.

 

Best to fit an arm that is compatible with your existing OEM ball joint and seating cone.

Im thinking it must be the larger thread size BJ im after as the problem is always that the thread is too narrow on other BJs tried
