ballistic
Ayyy TY for that! Very nice, white is one of the best colours for 370 Nismo imo. Sorry to hear about your troubles. its always ups n downs i guess. I dont do that many miles myself anymore tbh, probably around 4-4.5k tops. But they are thoroughly enjoyable miles!! Olly350z
Well another 6 months has passed while I'm still recovering from the operation back in August I'd rather be where I'm at now than back then. Its been an arduous 6 months with the car where I really did start thinking all kinds of things like selling it and getting out completely, trading it in and getting an BMW M4 comp, a lower mileage example Nismo without the stupid road tax and much more. However I have decided to keep it, love it, and have some fun while getting some jobs done. So first order on the list, a new set of wheels! I'd looked at reps, I'd looked at genuine Nismos from the omari factory. And in the end I settled for something in the middle cost wise, a brand new set of Work emotion Kirwami's in ashed bronze. The fronts have arrived, still waiting for the rears from Japan. Little touch of red picked out by my partner to match the red trim on Nismos Next up ive been wanting to tackle the brakes. My Nismo hit 45K miles last year so I figured it's probably time to get the pads and discs changed as I'd noticed increasing pedal travel on spirted driving so I went for a set of MTEC drilled and grooved discs all round and a friendly street pad. This will be paired up with a brake fluid change to motul 660 which should firm up the pedal nicely Next on my list is a set of coilovers, most likely going to be tried and tested Meister R. I'd like to get the car booked in with Horsham Developments in the near future and I'm going to future proof myself with hopefully getting the timing chain done just for my own peace of mind combined with a full checkover
Olly350z
This is the most recent photo back in January after finally getting the nismo arch trims on. I will say this was an utter pig of a job trying to identify which was the right tape. I'm still not overly happy with the finish so will definitely be doing it again in the summer when it's warmer. I'd like to maybe combine this with some bodywork as there are a few areas I want to tackle before they get bad so I.E a few stone chips in the bonnet

davey_83
Tasty rims, sorry to hear of your back. I always found with some cars, once you change the wheels they don't look like the version they are. Peugeot 306 GTi-6 from back in the days, once you changed the wheels it stopped looking like a GTi-6, I think the 370z mk2 Nismo is the same. Thanks for the reply Davey - See I'd had the same thought, wheels in my view can make or break a car so that's why when I was searching I wanted to try and emulate the standard Nissan wheel, curved spokes, concave, 5 double spokes as i personally think Nissan got the MK2 wheel spot on So for me the Work Kirwami's ticked every box. I wanted a little splash of colour to break the nissan up but did try tieing it in with the red center caps. It was this picture that finally helped make the decision in my mind 🤣
davey_83
Nice state side pic. With the spokes not going all the way to the edge, it gives the illusion of a smaller wheel compared with the MK2 Nismo rims. I do like the look of these fitted 👍
