Do I think there are newer, better cars available for the same price, 25K? Also yes. But its charm for me is that its a "New Car, based on an old car". Couldn't put that any better. Even after having much faster and "better built" German cars, the Nismo still has much more character and can't help but to look at it. Having a V1 I really was annoyed they didn't come with the Recaros, but the V1 seats are electric and subjectively are much comfier, whilst still being very supportive. That being said, I'd still love to fit a set of V2 Recaros though!!!

Lewis Schwier
@Olly350z couldn't of said it better myself. I also came from 350z to 370z Nismo. For the extra 10k you get more then 10k worth of stuff over a standard 370. Well worth it imo

GranTurismoEra
I did see a Nismo mk2 for £21,000...Winter is the best time to buy. Might get a Nismo few years down the line for 7k more rather go for the jugular and aim to get the new one if i can lol Yeah hopefully a dry weekend in March April can arrange a meet up. I had to. I was getting depressed spending crazy money on a 4 banger Honda 👀. Wasnt worth it. Edited December 1, 2021 by GranTurismoEra

I looked the other day just out of curiosity and ones older than mine and with more miles going for 26k to 32k The Mrs saw it and told me I should sell and make a profit.... GranTurismoEra
Id hit the ejection button...😂Yeah 21 and 23k mk 2... guess owners really want rid....Only time to sell is summer. Now its just going to sit. Few bargains to be had. I think last summer sent prices crazy as long as shortage of chips continue used car market will remain strong. for anything 16 onwards could get £25,000+ but it will more likely go quicker in the summer. £5k profit thats if someone actually shows up. Many many dreamers out there. Question is then what else is there at that price point that has that package. Not much.... Also got my motordyne shockwave fitted that day, love both upgrades! Highly recommend
GranTurismoEra
The price has increased by £200 from £599...Ill probably do the mod sometime next year back and front lights. They look awesome. Just expensive.
Matt Pugh
Correct me if I'm mistaken but I don't remember them ever being £599? Always been £799 that from what I remember, they're even more on other websites so I think that it's a pretty good price for what it is. I like the blacked out front headlights the Nismo comes standard with so that's not an issue. But for me I like nice clear OEM colours. Until someone produces an aftermarket light that isnt smoked I won't be changing dude

You thought about mapping it or anything of that nature?

Due to the global shipping programme they can be bought for £700 roughly including customs depending on exchange rate. Its just the risk associated with it arriving in non working order. Well i must have been seeing things. The pound has weakened against the dollar last time i checked. So prices can change its business. Olly350z
Merry Christmas boys and girl's! Small update, the lovely other half treated me to a set of GTR crystal clear map lights for the Nismo. As you'll see from the photo there's a marked difference between the two. Here side by side for comparison. On the right, the GTR map light, and on the left the opaque white standard 370z map light. Again super shocked at what a small addition can make such a big change to the interior of the car. Light output is now super crisp and bright. Much like the GTR stop / start button. Other then that I've barely driven the car, with one show back in August And there I took a good friend's lad to his first prom. really hoping I'll get out more this year, and more mods!
Olly350z
So now that my phone / the forum are finally behaving, I think I can post some pictures! I treated myself and the Nismo to a new spoiler, from a MK1 Nismo just to keep it that OEM style. Why the MK2 never came with a spoiler I don't know I need to get it painted, and get the 14 holes that the OEM ducktail will leave filled, smoothed and painted as well, yikes! Does anyone know what the grey on Nismos colour code is? For reference, this is what Nismo owners will find under the ducktail! I then got the car ready for incarnation, que marathon cleaning session I'm still on the hunt for an exhaust, but as we all know life has a habit of throwing things to slow you down. Itll happen, just a shame i missed that invidia gemini that was for sale on here a few weeks back!
davey_83
The V1 spoiler works so well on the rear of any Nismo that's for sure. I believe you need a Nismo specific exhaust to marry up to your rear bumper outlets correctly, otherwise the tips will sit too far in. GranTurismoEra
You looking at Invidia or Ark? Im hearing Invidia is quiet with standard cats. £1260 on Ebay. Maybe a lot less drone than short tails Let me know if youre selling short tails as my car is just a weekend car. So noise is ok.

Invidia sounds great and fits up perfectly, just doesn't quite look like I'd want. ARK on the other hand sounds amazing, looks amazing but requires modification to fit the Nismo straight out the box. Kinda mad to cut up a brand new exhaust don't you think? Wouldn't be the first time I've had to modify an expensive exhaust out the box though 😂 They're yours when the time comes mate, you know this already! GranTurismoEra
Hey at least it was in stock 😉. A good exhaust place will get it right. Just extra slicing and welding. It could be barely noticeable with extra welds.
Payco
It’s well documented what I had to do to get my Arc dual grip modified to fit my mark 2 Nismo when I had it.
Olly350z
Holy thread revival Batman! Well what's happened in a year and a half? Honest answer, not alot other then collecting and hording parts in the vain hope life might quieten down, but alas no! But, let me check in on the few bits I've got. So, first up on the list was a used ARK Grip V2 purchased from Torqen. It's well known these don't fit a Nismo V2 without work, so that's quietly waiting to go on Next up after meeting Lewis at JDM COMBE and seeing his, I purchased a 4th brake light, which I got fitted. Love how this looks at night, really changes the backend And a picture at Coombe, of course I then managed to source a set of the MK2 arch trims as mine were removed by the previous owner. My lord they were expensive! Top tip, if you want to remortgage your house, sell these trims! So far the parts room (spare room) has a full set of new drilled and grooved discs and pads waiting to go on, a MK1 Nismo spoiler and a set of coil overs. I had the car serviced & MOT'd at Nissan last weekend to maintain the full history, another year passed and no advisories Not sure on what to do next, thinking about wheels but also have seen a very nice OEM plus steering wheel, so maybe we'll see how we get on. Catch you on the flip side !
GranTurismoEra
You could probably fit the trims on a sunny afternoon. even if the previous owner removed them. He should have kept them unless they were damaged

Couple of things, just for clarity: - the exhaust was purchased from myself, privately, not from TORQEN - the exhaust fits any 370z, from 2009 to 2022, including MK1 and MK2 Nismo as the cars are structurally identical. However, it sits a bit hidden in the Nismo bumpers, therefore if that bothers, the tip can be cut off and extended with some 2.5" SS pipe. Hope this helps!
Olly350z
@ballistic there we go. Not alot to update, it's not changed a lot. 2024 has been an odd year with health issues thrown into the mix and a majority of my income going into private healthcare MOT'd and service last week, another 1900 miles done in a year. Almost wonder if it's worth it sometimes But a picture none the less
