Dave6188
As per title, I would like to upgrade the stock OEM pads with a performance pad, car is a daily driver and gets a bit of abuse on country roads now and again. I actually find the OEM Akebono pads very good and do not want to compromise bite from cold but welcome any increase in stopping power and less fade would be nice aswell. Any suggestions and feedback welcome. Thanks.

I know that’s kinda how they work, but I wasn’t expecting them to be quite that aggressive
docwra
I did quite a few trackdays on mine, pretty sure I replaced them at least once on an 80K car without having to do discs .......... but yeah, they have a reputation for that
Ekona
In fairness my discs were the cheapest of the cheap, but I’m damn sure I was well past the point of legality for the MOT hence having to change them. That was after two years and about 20k miles, pads still had about 40% left but the discs definitely didn’t
GranTurismoEra
Hawk pads uprated from OEM. Pricey but bite well like an alligator
