Subjated
Hi All so i'm new to the forum, and posted a few pics over in the newbie section just wanted to pic everyone's brains if I can, the PO(s) have modded the car to include a plenum spacer, induction, scorpion cat back and equal length wrapped headers. I just wanted a few opinions on this, especially the induction. i'm no mechanic but I know a decent amount I would say, I get that a bigger filter means more air in, but without the original air box, is this now not drawing in hot air? also what with the mods i'm not sure if the fuelling is set quite right, and there is a bit of a smell of petrol at the exhaust and in the oil (changed only 600 miles ago) just wondered if there's anything else I should maybe do or bear in mind before I take it to be tuned on the dyno? thanks in advance! ZMANALEX
Where are you planning to get the tune done? And yes, your present air intake system will indeed be taking in hot air. The Nissan OEM air box is very good and works well although a bit quiet.

Was thinking Horsham, they seem too have a good reputation? Certainly what I thought, I don't have the original box, so is it best to try and make a heat shield up for this one or go back to stock? ZMANALEX
Horsham will be good and the cheapest option will probably be Up Rev.

ZMANALEX
Yes, there are other options, however I think retaining the stock ECU with Up Rev would be the way to go priced at circa £450.00. Go talk to your tuner asap as your fueling is obviously a concern.
