Stew
http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=17938 Hmmmmm. Why do you need a drink when driving? Zero tolerance is the easiest way in my opinion!
sl114
I agree and can honestly say i never touch alcohol when driving! I know my limits but its too much of a risk to even have a glass in my opinion!
GC350z
Although I never ever drink and drive a zero tolerance is actually too low. Eating dinner could put you over the limit. Here in Ireland they are planning a virtual zero tolerance policy by reducing the blood/alcohol level to 50mg per 100ml for qualified drivers and 20mg for learners, novices and professional drivers such as truck drivers. This means that one unit of alcohol would put you over the limit but a liver pate wouldn't. The current limit is 80mg per 100ml which is the second highest in Europe. Stew
Or a spot of sherry trifle I suppose! I guess they'd have to work on zero tolerance being zero over a certain natural 'deadband' that might be caused by eating / mouthwash / whatever. Stew
Outrage, I drive better when I'm drunk The outrage is you'll get two chances to prove that to the police now!
Jay
I dont take a drop of booze if i am driving. Even if i ahve been out on the lash the night before i tend not to drive just incase i am still over the limit! Its just not worth the risk, I would be lost without my car!
