The base price of Sport and ST models are coming down and used should be sub £30,000 by January 2025 when production normalises. A lot of people are already running the car in Japan. In US some are being sold by first owners. In Japan only a handful are being given up.

The cheapest ive seen are left hand drives in US. In Japan ive seen £32,000-35000 shipped. Obviously you will need another £10,000 to clear. This is roll on roll off. The risk of damage and sea salt on your car when unloading or loading. Nothing a jet wash and sealant cant fix. Lol. Container is around £5,000. Safer just drive it out of a grounded container as opposed to off a steep ramp. The clearance percentage includes the container and marine insurance costs

Thats a 22 or 23 plate with hardly any miles. For anyone looking. Personally if using a merchant id get the address and go see what im buying and make sure it gets to the port. 😂

On the flipside you can import a GR86 or BRZ for around £17,000....why pay £30,000 for a UK car. Can even get an Automatic too. Not many GR Corollas though. What a shame!

Save 2k on a 30k import. Car must be manufactured in Japan. 2032 is when youd no longer pay VAT on the earliest 2022 MY

Duty was 2.5% not 5%, did they change it recently?
