Liddell
Hi, can someone confirm based on the below picture is that a rear tow point? It’s on the passenger side tucked up to the left of exhaust mount. secondly, if it is a tow point, does anyone have any tips on how to securely fasten the tow strap to this? thanks, James
ZMANALEX
The proper tow point is in the centre of the bumper, front and rear.
Liddell
Yes of course, but is that a tow point too? thanks, james
G1en
I have my rear tow hoop connected there. Mine is a solid metal bracket with hoop on the end, it fixes with 2 bolts and washers through the hole On your pic and it has been used twice to pull me out of the gravel traps so whether its a legitimate toe point or not it certainly can be used. for what you have there you are gonna need a long bolt and nut with 2 square plate washers either side of the hole. ZMANALEX
Just to be clear. It could be used as a temporary tow point and will serve for light recovery, but best to stick with the OEM tow point. Who would want to drive around with a strap flapping in the wind unless you are a
G1en
There you go, as per alex. For the purpose of track days or sprints it will serve the purpose of having a visible toe point for recovery but i wouldnt ever use mine to tow another car or such like, i would always use the correct point, i take it this is more for looks though, yes.
