HEADPHONES
On Monday the car was given it's weekly wash. Paint was feeling smooth still so no chemical decon/clay/polish. Then I dug out the Turtlewax that hadn't been used for months. Lovely slick finish with very little effort. Roll on Today. Car has been used on the daily commute in fine weather but has a coating of sticky dust as I park near a tree at work. Got the day off work so decided on a touch free wash. Armed with 2 buckets of water and this lot. Used the pump sprayer to cover the Zed's horizontal panels in Powermaxed Jetwash and Wax diluted 1:20. Then power rinsed off with the Worx Hydroshot. Not beading as tight as Sonax BSD but still lovely Touch free dry with my Worx leaf blower as I'm sure the paint isn't "perfectly" clean with a touchfree wash. Plus I reckon a drying towel degrades slickness due to friction and abrasion. Some afters. Still felt very slick after blow drying. HEADPHONES
Did another touchless wash today using the same method as before. Seeing how long a touchless little but often approach can work in this dry dusty weather. Surface still looks and feels the same after. veeg33
I need copy this..... Been very dusty here recently. Moisture on the zed from morning has been a attracting the dust...... Looks like leopard print now!
Lewis Schwier
Once I detail and ceramic coat my car I do the same, usually use the open hose method to dry most the car and then use my air force blaster to dry the rest, definitely helps the protection last longer and eliminates the chance of marring the paintwork too. Absolutely love your Z by the way Sunset Orange, V1 Nismo Kit & LMGT4'S - Perfect combo

HEADPHONES
This was after touchless wash 4 last week. Beads still holding. Slickness almost the same as the freshly done Mini we have. I did wash number 5 just before driving to work. Didn't have time for beading pics after as I was running a bit late. But here's one when I got home. The wheels were washed with a mitt last week as touchless wasn't cutting it anymore only wheels.
davey_83
Looking great still, are you open hose rinsing?
HEADPHONES
Just power rinse and leaf blower. But today I was running late so used mineral free water I harvest from my dehumidifier to power rinse then drove off to work.
davey_83
Tempted to do this with my Ryobi leaf blower (rated to 245km/h) but by the time I've dragged the pressure washer out, I might as well get the mitts out
HEADPHONES
So it's about 6 weeks since the Zed was washed with a mitt and the TW applied. Today was the 7th touchless wash (wheels and exhaust tips had mitt washes though). Car lives outside. Driven to work during the week. Although only the odd day of rain it still looks dusty and spotty. Same clean as before. Sprayed on Powermaxed Jetwash and Wax with pump sprayer. Jet rinsed off with the Worx Hydroshot. Gave a finer mist to show what beading is left..... No drying towel as it's not 100% clean. So the leaf lower again. Unlike the first few washes, the paint is starting to "grip" water specs more. Probably sap. Leaves tiny specs even with the blower that I didn't get the first 3 times. Here they are on the roof. You can't see them from a few feet away Car done as well as mitt wash on the wheels This will be the last update on this. It's my birthday next week and I'll be getting some "me" time to do use my Bilt Hamber fallout remover, Tac Systems Clay Cloth, Autofinesse Tripple followed by some Fusso. Then might do a 6 weeks touchless wash test on the Fusso But resisting getting the mitt out is SOOooooo hard
zelda
Brilliant! I'm doing a similar thing and agree.. so hard to not get the mitt out. Yours looks great though! My paintwork is starting to feel like it needs a proper clean now though, especially a clay. Trouble is the weather atm can't make its bloody mind up! One minute its overcast and the other beating sunshine. Driving me nuts.
HEADPHONES
I did another one of these the other evening. Difference this time was 1.The zed had a coat of 50:50 Sonax BSD & Chemical Guys Hybrid Spray Sealant used as a drying aid last proper wash. 2. Ran out of Powermaxed Jetwash & Wax and using Powermaxed Traffic Film Remover now. 3. After the rinse I gave it a spritz of Turtlewax Dry and Shine then gently rinsed the TW off. The Dry and Shine caused epic beading as it was rinsed off and left a nice slick finish. No worries about it going dark by the time I finished as the only time I touched the paint was with my little pinky to feel the slickness imparted by the Dry and Shine. davey_83
Really good test this and shows it can be done. I'd have definitely have opt'd to sheet the water off prior to blow drying mind.

I tried the Turtle Wax Dry and Shine today in the rain ! Did the job well and I like it. It's supposed to last 10 weeks I think. Anyone got experience of this ? HEADPHONES
I used it again today. 3rd time in 3 weeks. So easy and cheap I'm playing with it every wash for now. A lovely hydrophobic reaction to the shampoo during my 2BM wash today. I don't think I could resist not adding anything to the paint after a wash for 10 weeks. I think 6 weeks is the longest I've managed and that took alot of restraint Edited October 10, 2020 by HEADPHONES

HEADPHONES
I often give her a cheeky little caress with a fingertip gently to feel the slickness. My brother isn't into cars and thinks I'm bonkers wanting a slick finish to the paint. "Why the hell would you want to caress the car to see if it's slick?" When he put it like that I had to admit YES..... I'M BONKERS
Azurez33
After seeing your beauty headphones, I decided to give he tw hydro sealant a go and it’s fair to say I’m impressed and hopefully it lasts a long while! Unfortunately my cameras not great
HEADPHONES
Looking good Azurez33 Alot of the detailing channels on YouTube say it's as durable as Soft99 Fusso which is a complement. Like Fusso I find a little goes a long way and makes buffing a breeze. The slickness ain't bad either..... WQZF9ZYsNag
alexgv1
I’m expecting a full review of this! Sounds right down your street. I’ve got too many chemicals to change system myself, just bought another 5L of snow foam.
