Shunter8
Whilst under my car earlier doing an oil change I noticed it smelt like fuel, couldn’t see any leaks anywhere and figured maybe it was just where it’s got a full tank again. But I got down and had a quick look underneath from the drivers side and noticed an oily substance streaking down what I believe is the fuel tank? Anyone got any ideas on where it would be coming from as it smells like engine oil too rather than fuel or transmission oil but can’t see any way or reason how it would have gotten to where it was if engine related? Stock
Leaking bushing or strut perhaps? Have you had a look under the boot liner if anything has leaked in there?

Yea have had a quick look, I haven’t carried anything that would leak in the boot yet but checked just in case the previous owner had had something leak but it all looks clean and tidy and no signs of anything being there before. My thoughts were bushing or strut as they’re the only things I could think of potentially being oil filled, but can’t see how it would get to where it is from the shock or suspension??
