ab350z
Folks, installing my Kinetix Plenum and JWT popcharger today and I've hit a bit of a brick wall. Following the excellent instructions in the guide I've just reattached the throttle body to the new plenum and sat it in place but I notice that the Kinetic Plenum seems to be missing a few hose connections around the throttle body compared to the oem plenum. Any help?

Any help? On the Kinetix V+ plenum , you dont hook up the hoses to the plenum, from memory I think you should have a joining pipe to bypass the connection to the plenum, Not got my car handy at the mo so cant be more help does this photo help ?/
Stew
I'm sure it's some kind of oil feed. I think there are two jubilee clips and a connector that you hook up and it makes a loop.... Fitted mine a good while ago so could be wrong!
Stew
Tim beat me but we said the same thing! Surely we both can't be wrong!

Stew
You're right. Something is not correct! Must be an air/fuel mixture problem....

H5
1) Make sure you haven't trapped the oil filler cap gasket in the plenum 2) Do the ECU reset 3) Do the throttle position sensor reset Does that work?
Stew
I'd also check the link for joining the pipes mentioned earlier Chris.

H5
Have you securely fitted the MAF sensor into the pipe on the Popcharger, and made sure it is connected properly? That is the last thing I can think of other than what has been listed....
ab350z
Yeah made a point of checking that cos i've screwed that bit up before when i fitted a CAI to a previos car. It sounds really bubbly when i give it some gas after starting, def doesnt sound healthy!
H5
Have you taken it for a short drive? It can take some time to settle down, and I had to reset mine 3 times before it settled. Ah, final check, have you got the aircon on? With it off, Zeds can idle quite lumpy.
ab350z
With it off? Air con was off, as was stereo. might roll it out the drive and see if it'll drive round the street. doesnt sound good at all. i'll have a go and come back in a bit. M13KYF
sounds more like one of the pipes is connected wrong or perhaps bunged up with some packaging
