mr v6
I've had a look around for the answer to this & can't get a definite answer. I've never been keen on the Z's half sized engine cover. Given as the 350GT is the same earlier engine, they seem to come in a few variations. Question is, do they fit under the strut brace without any issues? If they do, I'm looking at the black / grey one with the red V6 on..
ZMANALEX
I have a complete 350GT Skyline engine cover in stock. Can't remember the colour of the V6 badge tho.
mr v6
Thanks Alex, would you mind checking for me when you get a minute please? Do you know if it fits under the strut brace? Are you able to try, also let me know the cost delivered to UK mainland if it does fit. Thanks.

ShortPaul
Just been looking at this engine cover, it looks hard to come by, looks like the badge came in red or black, this is probably no help,
LRF4N
V6 badge is red, and from what I remember it doesn’t fit under a strut for a Z, the struts for 350GTs are different
ZMANALEX
This is what I have and it sat under a stock brace. The badge could be painted to any colour you want however the badges are original. PM on its way mate.
LRF4N
Is that from a facelift model Alex? Looks totally different to mine and the ones I’ve seen online

ZMANALEX
Indeed it is mate. The two piece is extremely rare and very hard to come by, especially in this condition. I also has a recess across the cover which the oem strut brace fits neatly into. Win, Win.
LRF4N
Yea noticed the recess. Would’ve had it off you if I hadn’t painted mine
mr v6
Thanks Alex for doing that for me, but I'm sure that's for the engine with 2 throttle bodies, given the cut out on the top half on each side, also the top 2 fixing holes are in different locations. @Napp: Was your cover fitted to a Z or the 350GT? Definitely came off a 2003 car with a single throttle body in 2005, before the dual throttle bodies were even thought of. Also, perfect fit on a VQ35DE engine. Out of curiosity I will try it on an HR when I am in the shop tomorrow.
LRF4N
Maybe someone’s retrofitted it to a 2003 car?

This cover was removed in 2005 from a car that I was dismantling, so HR covers were not invented back then. just another of life's many mysteries.
