AlexRussell99
Hi, I have searched on the forum for the following question but couldn't find it. I live in Norfolk and there isn't an uprev licensed vendor close to me (as far as I know) and would like to remap my car, is there any downside using a closer remapping vendor with a dyno? I have an 04 DE so I can't get multiple maps. What other downsides are there? Trying to weigh up the pros and cons and seeing if it's worth the trip down to abbey/horsham. .:Bullen:.
I also live in norfolk & a fellow de owner, unfortunately the 350z can only be mapped by specialists having the uprev license & software independent little guys can’t touch it! I had mine mapped at horsham developments & can highly recommend them!
Andy_Muxlow
Also on a de you can't have multiple maps unfortunately. There isn't enough room on the cpu. But as above Horsham developments are top guys and we'll worth a visit.
.:Bullen:.
Not sure if it’s changed much now but a while ago they were looking at replacing the de ecu with a jap spec one which could have multiple maps. I think mark at abbey was looking into it so that maybe a option I was planing on for when my engine gets forged.

The normale ECU has 3 maps (cold, warm, detonation) and the Jap has only (cold and warm) so you are missing some tables in the ECU. But i don't know if the memory is bigger haven't check that yet. I have tuned multiple 350z's with romraider and while the options are more limited the program and licence are free so that alone will save you some £££
