AdamTSmith350
Sorry if I’m wrong section. So the time has come, clutch as been on way out for a little while now, release bearings noisy and now started slipping so a replacement is due. Don’t see the point of putting stock back on a car I’m slowly upgrading so looking for any suggestions and prices for a decent stage 2 clutch and fly wheel, Not got a massive budget so hoping for around £1000 all in. Clutch flywheel and fitting. Any help would be appreciated. I’m located in the Nottingham area. Thanks.
ZMANALEX
I am afraid that you will have to up your budget considerably to get a decent kit. You will also require an uprated CSC. Expect to pay circa £1600.00 inclusive of fitting.
AdamTSmith350
That is not ideal, got a little play in the budget but not really £600 worth of play. what about if I go for a lower spec, stage 1 or something? Something like; https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/clutch-flywheel-packs/13860-350z-hr-competition-clutch-light-flywheel-pack-stage-1-2-630-6st6073-2400.html or; https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/clutch-flywheel-packs/1896-350z-hr-jwt-jim-wolf-technology-flywheel-and-clutch-kit-14lb-light-flywheel-and-1200kg-clutch-l3507-nchroktb.html these seem to be sitting around £900 plus fitting? Although I don’t have much knowledge when it comes to clutches so I don’t know if they’re worth it?
ZMANALEX
You will still require an uprated CSC.
AdamTSmith350
Fair enough, so be looking at something like; https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/xtreme-clutch-nissan-350z-z33-vq35hr-engine-370z-z34-vq37hr-engine-05-clutches.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxdWen5PT5AIVCLDtCh0QhwAcEAQYASABEgLBUPD_BwE plus fitting is what your saying? ZMANALEX
Not particularly that brand as they have had issues of late with the drive plate letting go. However, if you wish to go with Extreme then here you go: http://www.clarkmotorsport.co.uk/parts/Clutch-Kit--Single-Plate-Organic/KNI25688-1A
AdamTSmith350
I don’t have a specific brand in mind thats just a full kit that I found. If you know of any better kits please share, as you can probably tell I could do with all the guidance I can get.
AdamTSmith350
Alright Alex, done some sniffing around and your right on raising the budget, what kit/bits would you recommend?
Steve3085
Sorry for highjacking your thread... My clutch needs replacing too, and I wondered what parts people recommend changing/replacing when doing it.
