Diggerman
so.... ive read a few diy versions from the yank forum but i still cant seem to get the controls to work, has anyone in the uk done this and can guide me where i must be going wrong? Ive tried going from the workshop manual with the pin out and still doesn't seem to work, ive spliced into the connector on the wires i think i should, but do i need to remove the connection from the plug or should it still work? Desperate to get this done for when u get the uprev mapping finished :/
Daisyduke
I have it in my ashtray. Was pretty straight forward on my 05
Diggerman
I don't suppose you got any pics of where you spliced the wires back in? That's where I'm struggling with conflicting photos/info
Daisyduke
No. Afraid not. I took it from the rear of the plug in the steering cowl. 3 wires on the right of it are horn and 2 cruise wires. Cant remember colours off hand
Diggerman
Ahh, this why I'm struggling cause I don't think anyone taken photos of the actual joined wires lol Which plug did you go into? Was it the grey one joined with a yellow one at the back or the white one by itself on the side?
Daisyduke
White with about 5 or 7 cables in
