Rikz2004
Hi all, My roof has a fairly small rip next where the roof meets the body and passenger window (behind the passenger seat). It's gradually getting worse so I probably need to sort it before I end up with a big hole! Having a search this seems a fairly common place to rip, but I need to decide what to do in terms of getting a repair or replacing the roof. What do people recommend? I'm based in London if anyone knows any roof specialists they can recommend and an approximate cost if they've had the same issue? Also, my roof hasn't been going all the way down recently, which I assume is due to the cold weather, are other peoples roofs the same? Thanks in advance! ZMANALEX
These guys will sort you out with a Mohair for £850.00 http://www.carhood.com/nissan/
coldel
Not an expert on roadsters but pretty sure I read somewhere on here that if the temperature is below something like 5 degrees it is likely to not go down properly...

How long do Mohair roofs usually last? Edited February 5, 2019 by Rikz2004 Question

NEroadster
I repaired a very small tear of about 5mm in my roof last summer using Stormsure tape. I put the tape on the inside of the roof and it seems to be holding up well. You'll pick it up dead cheap on E Bay. Might be worth a try....

Thanks @NEroadster I've actually bought a patch and some Stormsure seal which I'm going to use as a temporary fix until I save enough to get a Mohair one, as I can only imagine it will start to rip in other places soon enough due to its age
Stan350Z
I can verify mine gets stuck in cold weather. Although if you’re desperate to drop the top on a cool day I have managed to blast the heater for 10 mins then after several attempts of opening and closing it sometimes catches and opens... not the finest look but has worked in the past!

I'll have to wait until it's a bit warmer I guess
ZMANALEX
Using the roof mechanism below 10C puts a terrible strain on the motors and the mechanisms. This is one of the main reasons why 5th bow motors eventually give problems.
Ekona
I feel sorry for whoever bought my old car then, that roof was always down regardless of the weather! Crap design though. 3c is cold, 10c isn’t even close to it.

Thanks for the heads up, will avoid putting it down in cold weather,
