leebottrill
My oil pressure has gone weird. When the car is off it’s 0. When I turn the ignition on it’s around 60 psi, and when the engine starts it’s goes right up. The oil pressure never moved when the ignition was just on before. Any ideas? Photos are of a hot car in the above order?
ZMANALEX
Sounds like an oil pressure sender failure.
leebottrill
If it’s a sensor then I’m less worried!
Adrian@TORQEN
As Alex said, sounds like the oil pressure sensor gave up, not the most difficult or expensive fix, here's the sensor: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/engine/electronics/1019-350z-nissan-oem-oil-pressure-sending-unit-sensor-switch-25070-cd00a.html

Adrian@TORQEN
Oh, if HR, might dig deeper into it, could be the gallery gaskets failing, slightly more complex job, around £800 fix...
leebottrill
I’ve just had the gallery gaskets done. Haha

Haha In that case could be the sensor I linked up above, details here:https://nissan.7zap.com/en/er/z/z33/2+307+509/e/253/#25070
GrahameJ
Had the same symptoms although mine would eventually go up to 120 psi and stick there. I bought the following 25070CD00A Oil Pressure Sensor from eBay which cured it completely: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25070CD00A-Oil-Pressure-Sensor-Sender-Switch-Fit-Nissan-Altima-Armada-Frontier/183441585101?hash=item2ab5f873cd:g:DdkAAOSw0iBboKYL:rk:1:pf:0 Note the genuine looking Nissan packaging
