Kryptek49
I'm getting a private plate next month, and wanted to get a reduced legnth front number plate - 355 x 111mm. The plan was to remove the current number plate bracket from the front and stick the number plate directly on to the bumper over the now exposed holes. Only problem is the bumper is curved, so will the plate fit properly if I just stick it on or will I need to modify anything? Thanks
The Bounty Bar Kid
Just use some really strong tape. I used wing mirror adhesive tape. Halfrauds number plate stuff won't do.
rabbitstew
Fits fine, i did the same on my zed. Got a roll of double backed number plate adhesive tape from halfords and it stuck the plate on like supper glue, even though the bumper is curved. When I swapped the plates back I had to literally saw the plate off as the tape was so strong.
LRF4N
I used the 3M removable sticky tab things. Made for hanging frames etc on walls
scobie140
I'm sure when mines was like this I just used the halfords stuff but heated the plate with a heat gun to give it a slight curve.
