Posidrive
Just failed MOT on emissions but surprised that no error code showing. Any ideas what could cause this? Slightly concerned could be related to not being driven for 8 months
Ekona
What were the emissions?
Jay84
Quite possibly a result of not being driven, or the test station not getting it hot enough. If it has sat for a few months, a decent drive will always help. Any advisories for a leak? They can affect the lambda result from pulling in air. It difficult to drive and get hot without an MOT in the first place though. Is it a standard system?
Daisyduke
Mine was an exhaust leak
Sim
As said above, I always get mine properly hot before an MOT as I run HFCs. Edited November 27, 2018 by Sim
Umster
Swap decats to HFC or stock cats. Check for faulty gaskets on the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust system. Try a bottle of cataclean or redex and red line the car a little. Blow the @*!# out the system and get the catalytic convertor back to good condition. Take a nice long drive and stick in the lowest gear possible before heading into the MOT station.
