rkasc4
Hi all, Does anyone know where the engine coolant temperature sensor is on the VQ35DE engine, please? I’ve just had LPG installed on my Nissan Stagea (with the same 3.5 V6 engine) and when I picked it up the car was idling too high and the fans were on. I’ve sorted out the fast idle using the Nissan Datascan 2 app and an old OBD device I’ve still got. But I can’t sort out the fans... every journey I do it ends up with the radiator fans going at full tilt, and they don’t stop until I switch off the engine. My mechanic says it can only be the ECT sensor... does anyone know where it is on the engine??? Cheers! Rob
ZMANALEX
Rear of the engine on the coolant pipe, however, I doubt that the issue will be the ECT sensor.
rkasc4
Hi @ZMANALEX Thanks for the info! If you’ve got any ideas as to how I can diagnose the fault I am 1000% all ears listening. The Datascan 2 app didn’t give me any fault codes. Thanks! Rob
ZMANALEX
To get an informed diagnosis then you may have to get the car hooked up to Consult, otherwise, you will just be guessing. If the car was fine before you put it in the garage, then is this not the responsibility of that garage? as was the high tickover.
