PKAT
Hello folks, Just has an advisory on my MOT for my 2005 on my brake disc : Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii)) Time to replace? If so, who?
davey_83
If driving with no issues, I'd leave it till worn to or below minimum spec.
MDMetal
It's just advice, have a look at it yourself and see if you can see the issue then just take a peek every few months. Probably find they happily last a year or more and might not even come up next year.

MONKEYSOCKS
Just literally had my MOT and had the same thing, was only advisory. Going to upgrade them in January probably to dba t3 discs, but not going to stress about it until then.
veeg33
Had same advisory from last year's MOT (Dec 2017). I'm not sure if I'll still pass MOT this year but took the opportunity to change to dimpled and grooved disc I only use it as a daily hence not getting anything fancy
RobPhoboS
I recommend grooved discs, esp if you go to any tracks. Stop Tech or DBA good call.
Adrian@TORQEN
Hi buddy, As suggested above post some pics with the discs so we can have a look. If deemed to need replacing, StopTech products are highly recommended, check some reviews here: https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/121354-350z-stoptech-hawk-complete-upgrade-pack-review/ https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/119780-stoptech-hawk-review/ https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/115424-review-stoptech-street-pads-slotted-discs/ You can see the packs here: https://www.torqen.uk/472-pack-deals Always in stock, ready for next day delivery.
RobPhoboS
My stoptech discs are doing great after a whole bunch of track days too. I do switch between an aggressive track pad and the stop tech street pads (just in case you want to do the same thing, I recommend it). rabbitstew
If it passed the brake test on the MOT and doesnt feel weird when driving I would leave it. All brake discs tend to rust/pit anyway as they get all the crud off the road on them. MOT advisories are purely based upon the testers opinion on that day. On one of my previous cars I had an advisory 3 years in a row for worn rear subframe bushes. I never did anything about them, then on years 4 & 5 the same garage never listed them as an advisory at all! Problem solved!
