Nugget
Hi looking for a quick fix or some advise? My engine management light came on, on the way home from Trax, I stopped and carried out the pedal dance and it went out, but I noticed when I pressed the accelerator pedal down and then off the EML was flickering, when I got home I turned of the engine and started her up again and the light stays on until you do the foot dance again? Any ideas!

Nugget
How do you get the code, is it the number of flashes the EML does when reset?
HEADPHONES
It will flash the code stored as above Edited October 7, 2018 by HEADPHONES
Willsy1980
I just got one of these, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-U480-Car-Engine-Auto-Fault-Code-Reader-OBD-2-Scan-Tool-Diagnostic-Scanner-UK/302214319524?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 works a treat, better to know the code rather than keep resetting it. Nugget
Where do you plug it in, saves me looking it up?
ZMANALEX
The OBD2 port is under the dash on driver's side.
Nugget
Ok say the cheap OBD 2 scanner worked but found no fault codes? Got my son to repeat the pedal dance and two codes came out, 1166 & 1157 and then the reset worked. Light is now off, but if anyone has any info on the codes it would be appreciated. Thanks
ZMANALEX
These are Air Fuel Ratio and Heated Oxygen sensor codes. Will only require attention if the EML comes on again.
