*** TORQEN *** New website in development - Feedback please :)

Hi guys,

We've been working hard for the last few months developing the new version of our website. The tech that powers the website is incredible; a lot of APIs integrated from couriers, warehouse, stock control, currency exchange rates and so on, Artificial Intelligence, latest programming languages CSS3, HTML5, PHP7.2, MariaDB SQL, JS, Simfony framework etc. Not finished yet, we're still a few months away from launching it.

However, the design is almost done, only some polishing (like the search bar) and one new section to be implemented, called: Inspire Me. A lot more about that when the time is right :D

Here are a few screenshots, feel free to criticise or offer us some feedback about it. Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks again!

High quality images, clean theme, and seems easy to navigate around the site. That’s pretty much what you need for a good site and it’s what you have. When I first glanced at it I thought it would be confusing to navigate but when I zoomed in to see all the menu buttons it seems pretty good

Just missing the fake nismo section that pesters you late at the weekends...

Given this suggestion to the contrary (for example) you might want to reconsider that "Perfect fitment" claim on what appears to be virtually every page as well. ;)

Genuinely not trying to be a d*ck on that, but unless you can guarantee everything you sell will fit everything everyone else already has, which clearly you can't, you're just opening yourself up to criticism by making a claim that you can't possibly hope to control.

On a similar note, I'd also consider dropping the "only" from the "well respected brands only" line - without getting into the brands (as that's a completely separate conversation), you're essentially leveraging own reputation against the brand's that you offer so all it'll take is one of those reputations to take a slight knock (a sudden quality control issue for example) for your own brand to suffer as a result. You'll be in a situation where you're offering parts from a less than well respected brand (the suggestion then being that you stand by their sub-standard parts) or a load of stock you can't even offer for sale. Again that's a risk that's completely out of your control.

PS. Happy to help proofing new text.

Thanks Simon, will ask for your help as soon as the new system is up. The design is now complete, except some menu and categories icons. We're implementing the Front End features as we speak. Huge amount of work!

Can't wait for the new site to go live.
