leebottrill
I have noticed in the last month that my car is doing a few strange things. Firstly the Revs seem to have a little dip at the bottom of the rev range when I put my clutch in to stop the car, secondly the transmission doesn’t feel smooth when I’m engaging and disengaging the Excelerator (when cruising). I have attached my YouTube Video link so you can see what I mean about the revs. Thirdly my exhaust has just started blowing and I’m wondering if that would affect the revs? leebottrill
Sweet. My air filters are probably due for a change. No idea how to do the throttle body clean but I’ll either watch a video or get my garage to do it. Thanks man.

Throttle body is easy clean, just make sure NOT to touch the butterfly valve when cleaning, get some carb cleaner or use wd40 like i did, 5 minute job. CLASSIX
You might just want to check all your clips on the variouse pipes that are on the air system to make sure no air leaks are occuring as well. including the PCV one as well that leads to the upper plenum. leebottrill
Unfortunately I believe this problem is to do with the leaking oil gasket. I spoke to someone at Cougar store today and all the symptoms point towards that. I have HR at 71,000 miles which is around the time this problem occurs apparently. I’ve attached a photo of my warm oil pressure. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Edited October 2, 2018 by leebottrill
Keyser
I think it's low, BUT did it used to be higher and is now low, also when was the last oil change? My 370 is low at idle but as soon as I rev it goes up nicely
leebottrill
It’s lower than it used to be. It’s also slightly juddery in lower speeds. Im worried it’s going to blow up now!
leebottrill
It was a gasket problem. Gaskets changed and oil pressure back to 30psi when hot.
