daz8235
Hi I have just picked up a 370z black edition in Quarts and was after a bit of advice please (only had it a couple of days). When starting the manual inform you to push the start button untill to changes to the ON position then clutch in, neutral and then push the button. All it does is turn everything off. I can get it started with the foot on clutch and on brake at the same time. Am I doing something wrong ? Many thanks, ohh a few little pics didn't notice until I got it home it had a carbon fiber front lip and black badges and stainless exhaust. mattross1313
Welcome, nice looking car To start her up, put the clutch in and press the start buttons once. No need to press and hold the button, no need to press the brakes.

mattross1313
Mine is also manual, this is odd. On mine just clutch in, tap the start button and it then lights up through acc to ign then the engine fires up. I occasionally see a message on the dash saying no key....but then try again and it's all fine (likely my battery is dying). You have the key with you in the car yes? It's also fussy and doesn't start until less the key is inside the cabin.
daz8235
Yeah, key in pocket, not light warning of battery. Works fine if I have foot on clutch and brake. I have downloaded the manual so will have a read thru, thanks for your help. Appreciated.
daz8235
Wonder if its this http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivetrain/111443-problem-starting-clutch-engaged.html
sipar69
Should definitely start up with the clutch depressed. You could also try the same thing with the brake. This is for the auto version but it also works with the manual.

antnee
I just put clutch in and hold the button till it starts (about 1 sec or so), sometimes I release the button too quickly and it just goes to ACC
Wayne370Z
Same with mine as the others above. Jump in with key in pocket, depress clutch, press and release button, starts up. (except the once when the battery had gotten low and struggled to turn it over). No need to press button to turn it on first, or hold it in, or press brake pedal.
