Initial_j
Bit of a query Whenever I start my 350, literally as I turn the key it revs to around 2.5k for a split second, like a blip of the throttle then straight back down to the usual idle at 1k Do they all do this? Its hardly a problem and maybe im just over cautious but I’d of thought you want a cold engine to rev as low as possible. Its been remapped by Abby a while ago, not sure if it’s something that’s been added to the map if it’s not a standard feature. Thoughts? mrt
Mine runs at 2.5 k revs on startup and drops gradually down to around 800 after a few minutes. Had the rev up done at TDI northern. Normal for startup I believe.
shaun350z
All normal, ECU forces a richer air/fuel (A/F) mixture on start up (hence the initial high rpm) to avoid the engine stalling. Abbey would have tweaked the A/F map/table but I highly doubt they tweaked the cranking table...
