pcartwright
Hello, I will be changing my gearbox over the summer as the synchro is on its way out. While I have it all apart I feel it is a perfect time to change the clutch, flywheel, fork pivot ball, slave cylinder etc. Also, fit my braided clutch line and potentially stiffen the diff mounts. Gearbox currently has a diy hardened mount. Questions: - What is the full list of items I should change (additional to the above) ? - Any recommendations, brand, type (hardened / OEM) ? - Will I need any specialist tools to remove/refit ? I do not want to spend the earth ! My car is mainly used on track and looking for strong parts. Car has the usual UpRev mods etc. Peter
Adrian@TORQEN
Hi Peter, We recommend the super famous and reliable JWT kits, depending on your choice on flywheels, these are the 2 options, providing your car is a 350z DE: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/clutch-flywheel-packs/664-350z-de-jim-wolf-technology-jwt-clutch-flywheel-kit-nodular-iron-26lb-flywheel-900kg-clamping-force-l3503-ncfsd.html or https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/clutch-flywheel-packs/1895-350z-de-jwt-jim-wolf-technology-clutch-and-flywheel-combo-1200kg-clamping-force-l3503-ncf-ktp.html These will come with pivot ball, line etc, see the description on each. For slave cylinders see here, depending on your car age: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/ancillaries/1673-350z-de-05-07-stoptech-premium-clutch-slave-cylinder-13842019.html or https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/ancillaries/1672-350z-03-04-stoptech-premium-clutch-slave-cylinder-13842017.html For master cylinder, see our upgrades here: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/ancillaries/339-350z-de-torqen-tilton-racing-clutch-master-cylinder-trq-350zde-tmc.html or https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/powertrain/ancillaries/349-350z-de-torqen-wilwood-heavy-duty-clutch-master-cylinder-trq-350zde-wmc.html Unless you're seriously committed to track days I wouldn't recommend the solid gearbox mount, there will be a lot of vibration transferred in the cabin. For clutch fluid, we recommend either StopTech 600 or Motul RBF 660: https://www.torqen.uk/194-fluids Hope this helps, but do let us know if you have further questions.
