RobPhoboS
Aside from slinging a couple of spuds up my pipes... Any recommendations on trimming a few db from my exhaust without nicking any HP, and without costing loads The system at the moment is: h-dev decats Cobra system (Y-pipe back - non resonated) When I go on track I use Decibel Devils which do a great job for the static meter but on drive by it must be around 92-96db. For the first time I got black flagged yesterday from the noise. In the near future I'll be installing long tube headers, so perhaps some kind of silencer in the main pipe would be an option ? reeceybeaney
As you have a non resonated system, I can imagine it would be reasonably loud! A custom exhaust place can fit you in a resonator in the midpipe which will help reduce the noise without changing the system itself iirc resonated cobra and non resonated cat back is a 5db difference
RobPhoboS
Many thanks for that ! When I first got the car I didn't really think about track days I do know someone that can do this kind of work, so I should call him anyway but I thought it's worth asking here too.
