quattrothedog
Just joined up, luck will decide whether I stay or not.... Scottish guy living in Norway, looking to import a car here before Brexit messes up all the rules, Norwegian rules are tight enough... Currently swithering between a 350 and a WRX, preference is for a 350 if I can find a nice one. Signing up to do some research into prices, parts and stuff, hopefully I'll find a good 'un and hang around for a bit. Got my ferry booked for July, so putting together a shopping list....... Meantime, these are my other cars. Golf Tdi daily, 1970 ford Thunderbird (7.0 litre), '93 Alfa 155 V6, '87 Alpine GTA V6 turbo
longsh07
Welcome along and good luck with the hunt I've currently got an 05 350Z GT4 and a 99 JDM Impreza WRX. Quite a bit of a difference and a hard choice to make so I don't envy you . What year WRX are you looking at?

Thanks, anything prior to 2006 otherwise the import taxes get too high, got to be a UK car too or it will be too difficult to approve. You really need to be VERY friendly with the testers to get anything JDM in. Really like the classic shapes, but finding a good one of those is not easy, also an unmolested one, whatever I get also needs to at least appear unmodified, otherwise the little Norwegian Jobsworths will have a hissyfit.... Currently watching a 2003 with the PPP installed, figuring performance wise not much to call between that and a Zed. Had a few quattros back in the day and a Celica GT4 so no stranger to 4wd, but love the RWD and the noise of the Zed. Difficult choice indeed......... longsh07
2003 must be blob eye right? Quite partial to those myself though given the choice I think I'd take the 350 over one unless its JDM purely for the power differences. Classics are my personal favourite (bias ) but most UK ones are going to be riddled with rust by now so your probably right to look for bug/blobs. My 350 is certainly a better drive (handling/braking), but holy hell is an 90's boosted engine a laugh! Anyway, good luck!
