AMT
Its certainly going to be different. If it goes with that side profile and rough look I think it'll be not bad, huge amount of Corvette fans though might be against it departing from the front engine, RWD, GT style. Big brave move from Chevy to try it. I think its prob good change though as its been the same look for some time and was starting to get dated, even the latest still has hints of C5 lol
LRF4N
Different? Apart from the obvious the lights are almost identical to the C7?
ATTAK Z
I think we can agree that the proportions are definitely different
LRF4N
Yea with the new layout the proportions are different, looks great. But head on from the front and rear it’s almost the same car
StevoD
Did someone photoshop corvette lights on a nsx

StevoD
Be interesting to see if it stays in the same price bracket now
Jetpilot
Those rectangular side intakes lake serious imagination, much more blending and shaping required otherwise a good looking car imho. I didnt read the whole article but rhd? Would have thought it would have to be?
Ekona
Where did you get rhd from? Can’t see that happening when the standard Vette isn’t rhd either. Also no manual option
LRF4N
So is this running alongside the standard car? I thought it was a new model. That would explain the similar design, didn’t think they would go all Porsche on us lol
Ekona
Yes, it’s in addition to and sitting above the current car.
LRF4N
Ah makes sense. With the C8 name tag I thought it was the next generation
ATTAK Z
It may be pitched against the Ford GT
Ekona
Can't see it being that expensive, it'd never sell. I reckon probably twice whatever the regular Vette costs now.
ATTAK Z
Regular Vette starts at about £70K Edited April 24, 2018 by ATTAK Z
Ekona
$60K according to the Chevvy website. But then a ZR1 is $121K, and the C8 would need to be significantly above that. I reckon a starting price of $160k would do it, so £115K there or thereabouts.
Ekona
Interestingly the R8 starts at $165K, so yeah I reckon I'm pretty close to being on the money with that guess!
StevoD
although the ZR1 is a gt3rs like version cant see the base midship being as track focused initially.
