Colin747
So I was going to upgrade my brake lines to braided saying as I'm changing fluid anyway but I've noticed a receipt from a previous owner that states that copper brake lines have been installed. Forgive my ignorance here, but I'm assuming the copper stops before it reaches the caliper and the braided line takes over from them to allow for steering/suspension movement? evilscorp
Yup, copper line from abs module to wheel well, small bracket with a fitting which then connects to the flexible rubber oem hose or a new braided line. longsh07
There is a small piece of rigid brake line on the axle itself after the hose, it could be that portion that they are referring to?
Adrian@TORQEN
These?https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/hoses-lines/12341-350z-nissan-oem-front-brake-caliper-fluid-line-tube-rh-46245-cd00a.htmlhttps://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/hoses-lines/12342-350z-nissan-oem-front-brake-caliper-fluid-line-tube-lh-46246-cd00a.html
longsh07
That looks about right @Adrian@TORQEN It's the bit seen in these photos. Bolted to the upright and into the back of the caliper
Colin747
Anyone else used those StopTech lines? There seems to be quite a big difference in the front lines to me? Edited April 23, 2018 by Colin747
Adrian@TORQEN
Hi Colin, In case you haven't heard about StopTech before, they are top quality manufacturers in brakes, just like Brembo etc, see here: http://www.stoptech.com/about/about-us http://www.stoptech.com/about/accomplishments-and-awards http://www.stoptech.com/about/OEM
Colin747
Thanks, I'll take a look. I'm not familiar with them, do you know why the front lines seem to be quite different between the Goodridge and StopTech lines?
350_Jer
While we're on the subject of brake lines, does anyone know if there is a supplier of ready made up sets of copper/cunifer brake lines for the 350z? Like Automec do, except they don't list any Nissan models.
