Jcurtis
Hi guys, So after briefly over-heating (whilst stuck in the mud) on the weekend, I realized my drivers side radiator fan doesn't work. I performed the relay test which triggers the lights, wipers, rad fan etc and the drivers side fan does turn but extremely slowly. I was thinking of just taking the fans out and replacing with mishimoto units (and changing the aux belts whilst there) but I've come across this motor repair for the existing fan and I was wondering whether it is worth a shot first....has anyone done this? richard.hezlett
Not a hard job if you follow the video. It's a bit footery getting the fans unplugged but once you have the top coolant hose disconnected the whole panel just lifts out. I would recommend u service both fans to save any bother in the immediate future. Also bear in mind that other forum members have mentioned that the mishimoto fans are very noisy in comparison to the standard ones.
