Smc1992
Hi guys I know there are plenty of posts on this but I couldnt seem to find an answer, can oil in the spark plug cylinders cause a misfire? My 350 is misfiring all the time and I have a p0300 code. The car is running horrendously so I took the coil packs out individually as the car was running to try and determine which cylinder the misfire is coming from and I have also removed my spark plugs to inspect and noticed they have seen better days. So my first port of call is to replace these and go from there. From researching I see that I am in need of a new cam cover or a cam cover repair kit but id like to resolve the misfiring before tackling that job but if this could cause the misfire I might aswell resolve the cam cover to rule it out. Sorry for the long post on a topic that is fairly well covered (just cant find the answer!) Scott

Is your car running fine? 14 minutes ago, SlyBacon said: Same on my 06, no misfire though... Maybe youve answered my question there, if yours isnt misfiring then mine must be for a different reason!
Adrian@TORQEN
Seals on the rocker cover may be gone if you have oil in the spark plug wells, easily fixed with these kits: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/engine/gaskets/1657-350z-vq35-diy-rocker-cover-repair-kit-trq350zderock.html
Smc1992
Replaced spark plugs and the car is running a lot better but still missing slightly. My OBD reader is now coming up with a P0300 but saying its a pending fault whereas before it was coming up as a current fault, not too sure what that means. Thanks Adrian, once I have pin pointed the root cause of my misfire ill be investing in the repair kit!
