Jetpilot
So whats everyone looking forward to this year, the f1 thread seems dead in the water, so where has everyone focused their attention? Personally cant wait for another season of MotoGp, think we are watching history in the making with Marc Marquez, breaking records left, right and centre, 4 championships out of the 5 years he has been in the top flight, 45 poles out of the 90 starts, 63 podiums, holds just about about every youngest rider accolade. Cant wait.
ZMANALEX
I personally find Motorsport on tv quite boring, unless I personally know some of the drivers, which makes it much more interesting on a personal level. I am fortunate that some of the leading drivers cut their teeth at Knockhill Racing Circuit before moving on successfully to the following. BTCC WTCR British GT Championship. So I will be following these 3 with great interest.
350_Jer
Looking forward to the BTCC, never really been a fan of F1. Also got a few of the WRC programs recorded but not had a chance to watch them yet.
StevoD
Btcc Formula D BDC (obviously) Wec I have an interest in now Pirelli world challenge IMSA Rx global rallycross
Ekona
This year? Sod all really. F1 I'll pay an interest to if Lewis wins. WEC I'll watch most races to see the GT racing and (hopefully!) Alonso & Toyota fall flat on their faces at LM. Anything else I'm not really bothered about tbh, although I may see if I can get to an endurance GT event or two in the UK at some point. Jetpilot
If i can find it i will try and catch Pikes Peak and of course IOM TT, maybe catch a bit of LM too.
Dal B
Mainly F1 and BTCC for me. I will be supporting Ford in the WEC, especially after seeing the Ford GT race cars in work so much, but then I suppose I'm biased
Hayd350
BTCC set to be a good season i think. A mate of mine is back in the mix and with Shedden out of this season it should mix things up a bit for sure.
z21
Really looking forward to British GT, DTM and Blancpain this year. Work should hopefully be sending me to some of the classic events too, whislt they don’t feature the most amazing drivers the machinery there is pure pornography
Cimanu
All about the BTCC, short races, max carnage. Gonna be gooood MotoGP also brilliant!
The G Man
WEC series for me, F1 is hilarious at the mo, Alonso doing not too badly in WEC Ganassi doing well in the Uber fantastic GTE Pro line up, the most interesting for years! https://apple.news/AE0ZoFqfTTpukHTCy-bbbew

Ekona
The Toyotas won by over two laps from the next LMP1 car, the Rebellion car. And that's just at Spa over six hours, imagine the gap at LM next month! Toyota will almost certainly finish first at LM, but it won't be any kind of a win at all. And noting that Conway (who is a bloody quick driver in that car!) didn't even try and overtake Alonso makes me think there's some very obvious team orders just for publicity reasons there too. I have zero respect for Toyota carrying on this year. Shame the new AM Vantages didn't finish a bit higher up, but I suspect that's down to BoP not being remotely sensible yet. Hopefully they can get it right for June, I'd love to see a proper battle in GTE with the AM and BMW taking it to the standard Fer/Por/Cor trio. The G Man
Aye Dan, the GTE Pro is where its at, i think its the only class ive ever been interested in really, love the Vette’s and with BMW in the mix, its gonna be hard for AM to compete, i hope they can. im excited at this class and the permutations that itll throw up, Toyota can go feck themselves, ill give a shout out for Di Resta and his Team tho’

Jetpilot
I watched a bit of world touring car qualifying from the ring yesterday, that was pretty interesting, i will definitely try to watch the race, just from a point of interest in it being at the ring rather than the cars. 350_Jer
Loving the BTCC so far What going on with poor old Jason Plato, he seems to be having a nightmare!

Jetpilot
Seems the touring car drivers can keep competitive and more so with advancing years, maybe he is just too old and feeling the heat, is the car any good? Sorry dont follow it much, but did watch some of the Thruxton round at the weekend as its my most local circuit and been round with car and bike and its f'in quick, so thought it would make good watching. Jetpilot
So coming to the end of the year hope you guys have enjoyed the season of whatever you have watched, from a personal prospective MotoGp has been awesome, 7th title for Marquez at just 25 years old , most impressively not on the best bike which i guess could be the same for Hamilton, think this was Ferrari's year imho, never unhappy seeing Vettel loose though. Also massively impressive seeing Loeb win again in Spain this weekend.
Ekona
Delighted for Lewis, sad for Vettel, secretly pleased at Ferrari's failure, disgusted by Toyota and sorrow for LM next year as they still don't have any competition.
ilogikal1
Really? I’m delighted about Vettel with the way he’s driven this year.
Ekona
Nah I quite like Vettel as a person and a driver, and I would like to see him win a title with Ferrari. I just don’t like Ferrari as a team
Jetpilot
I never minded Vettel, until he started loosing and turned into a petulant child and showed his true colours chucking all his toys out the pram, disobeying team orders, constant whinging over the radio and driving into people etc Judgemental and perhaps quite far from the mark but it was pretty easy for him when he knew he had by far the best car on the grid but he without doubt should have won this year, not without a fight as it was close, but he just couldnt cope with the pressure from Lewis imho Bellendimous maximous imho
ilogikal1
That^^^^. His childish sulking numerous times has made me glad he lost this championship. If and when he grows up a little bit I might warm to him again but he’s fallen into the Ferrari mentality of entitlement just because he is who he is, driving the car that he is driving and not because he’s actually good enough! I also don’t like Ferrari at all, so the longer they fail to win anything the better.
