malfunction indicator light

my malfunction indicator light has come on, not flashing just permanently on. oil ok. had a service October 2017.

in the manual states take it to Nissan dealer. mine is a GT 2004. 71,000.  any ideas if I can re set?

Do you mean the EML / engine management light?

yes that's the one. can I reset it?

Use the pedal dance to read the code.

Post it up and someone will be able to tell you more.

Then maybe reset it and see if it returns.

As Headphones said you should really check the code it may be important get the code post it up here someone will tell you if it's important

I've tried the pedal procedure from Headphones didn't work. What is the datascan? if you are around this week that would be great.

Thanks everyone, It worked when I got a stopwatch. I think the sensor got cold, as it had been saying 'icy' on the computer for ages.

Glad you've sorted it & it's nothing major. My sensor got stuck in the summer, I had to disconnect the battery for 20 mins to reset everything, it's been fine since. As I say, I'm not far from you if you ever need the ECU's scanning if you have a light on.
